This past weekend Coachella was full of amazing artist, including Academy Award- winning composer Hans Zimmer. I don’t think people were ready for Hans Zimmer, at all! I mean, I wonder if these kids even know who Hans Zimmer is? His performance showcased his greatest scores from Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Night Trilogy, just to name a few. He also brought out Pharrell as a special guest to perform “Freedom.” Rad!
About 8 minutes into his set, he paused to greet the crowd. “It takes a special kind of crazy person to bring an orchestra out into the desert… But, it had to be done, didn’t it?” he said. Yes Hans, it had to be done and we thank you!
Hans Zimmer will take this show to The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on April 19, then to the Park Theater in Las Vegas, NV on April 21, before heading across seas for a full European tour.
Check out the glory that is Hans Zimmer in this video of him and his orchestra performing the score of the movie Inception. I think everyone should wake up every morning to this score.
